Flights
EZE is the main international airport in Buenos Aires. Most of our participants arrive there. AEP is the local airport and closer to the accommodation.
Once you have purchased your flights, please fill out this Google form with your flight details. Please double check that everything is correct as we use this info to set up the transfer to/from the airport. Couples or friends with identical flight info can fill the form only once and put both names.
Please note: we need all participants to fill out the form. If you are arriving early / staying late in Buenos Aires and not staying those extra nights at our accommodation, then you will arrange your own transfers to/from the airport so we won't need your flight info. In this case, you can simple check the box "No..." that you won't need a transfer and put N/A for the rest of flight info, as applicable, but please do still fill out the form so we have your arrival plan. Thank you!

Arrival & Departure
Arrival is typically on the start (first) date of your program. And departure is typically on the last (end) date of your program. For example, if you are registered for Tango Essence February 9-19, you should plan to arrive on February 9 and depart on February 19.

Typically it's nice to arrive in the morning or early afternoon of your program start date, as we have a gathering and sometimes first milonga in the evening. Departure anytime on program end date is fine, though people tend to prefer flights later in the day so that you don't have to get up very early in the morning after the final milonga outing the night before.

We arrange and cover the cost of your transfer to/from the airport for those arriving on the official start/end dates of the program.

Arriving Early / Staying Late
It is usually possible to arrive some days or even up to a week early before the program starts, or to stay some extra nights after the end of the program in our accommodation, Luna Lila. This depends on the groups before and after ours, and which rooms they are occupying.

Some of you asked previously and we said we were not yet able to confirm. We now have an idea of when all the apartments will become available and expect to be able to accommodate your requests, so: If you wish to request additional nights' accommodation before/after the program, please inquire via email to batangoevolution@gmail.com and we can let you know if your room is available for your requested dates and the cost.

If you arrive early or stay late, we do not cover the cost of your transfer to/from the airport. It's approximate US$40. If you arrive early and come directly to stay at our accommodation Luna Lila, we will still make the transfer arrangement for you, and you will pay the driver directly. And if you stay some days after the program end date at Luna Lila, likewise we will arrange your transfer if you wish and you will pay the driver directly.

Money
You will need to bring USD in cash to pay your remaining program balance upon arrival (see above). Additionally, if you plan to take private classes with Sebastian or with our team of dancers, you will need to pay for those in cash in USD only.
We strongly recommend bringing additional USD or Euros in cash for your personal spending and shopping, such as tango shoes and clothing, in Buenos Aires. You will get a better exchange rate by exchanging cash for pesos in Buenos Aires, than by withdrawing pesos from an ATM. The good news is that foreign credit cards are getting a good rate and increasingly accepted, so this is a good option. However, not all locals will accept credit cards, so we still strongly recommend bringing USD cash for some personal spending and for private lessons, in addition to your program balance.

You can check the exchange rates here. The dolár oficial is the official exchange rate that you would get at a bank or ATM. The dolár MEP is the rate that you'll get on foreign credit cards. The dólar blue is the "unofficial" rate that you can get by exchanging cash USD for pesos. We have a trusted money exchanger who can usually come to the house to do these transactions.

Private classes
Private classes are available with Sebastian ($100 US/hour) and our amazing team of dancers ($80/hour). Note that you will need USD in cash to pay for private classes, should you choose to take privates.

Individual Tango Meetings
We will be having brief (10-15 minute) individual 'before' & 'after' meetings with each of you at the beginning and end of each program. (Those of you staying for an entire 3-week program will have one meeting at the beginning, one in the middle, and one at the end). You will receive information on this and the schedule for your first meeting in the final pre-trip email that you will receive from us shortly before the program begins.

Slack
We will use a program called Slack for group communication during the program. I will send you an invitation via email to join Slack shortly before your program begins. Please join and download the app to your mobile device. For this to work well, all of us need to sign up and use it! I will upload the schedule, information packet, arrival day schedule and other documents to Slack before the program begins so you can check them out in advance.
